Child’s life is influenced by family, but it is also influenced by external factors. From my point of view, I firmly agree with this statement based on some reasons I will explain in this essay.
On the one hand, there might be some reasons why family is a powerful influence on a child’s life. First and foremost, a family can establish a caring environment with both physical and mental support. For example, if children face health problems or mental problems, family will play a crucial role to aid in their recovery. Moreover, family provides fundamental lessons through daily interactions. They will observe their parents and consider parents as role models, leading to imitate behaviors and attitudes. For instance, if parents tend to be violent, their children will also be prone to violence in the future, just like them. In contrast, if parents always express their love to each other, their children will become a person full of love. Thus, it can affect children’s personality.
On the other hand, I believe that a child’s life is also influenced from outside the home. Firstly, children can learn social skills and more knowledge, such as collaborating and communicating with others through interactions with friends and teachers. For example, if children take part in some competitions, they will know how to cooperate and work as a team, which helps them to prepare for their real life. Furthermore, children might form a sense of self-identity through media exposure such as TV shows. For instance, children can establish their characters, minds and passion when they get access to different lifestyles and perspectives both positive and negative, resulting in a change in their awareness.
In conclusion, while family is a powerful influence on a child’s life, external factors also contribute to children’s development. Therefore, I believe that a child’s life needs both because it can enhance children many significant benefits to promote a comprehensive development.
