According to a quote, John Wayn considers the future the most crucial part of a person’s life. Although for the governments the importance of being ready for the future is not only undeniable but also necessary, I believe individuals should stick to the present as it is the only part of our lives which we have control on.

Firstly, policymakers should have plan for the future if they want to be able to manage and run a country. Countries, as a whole, need to be prepared for any possible obstacles and crisis that they may face, and this will not be possible just by having a holistic regard to the future. In this area, the present is still important but as tackling struggles is not an action of one day or two, the cruciality of the future is highlighted. Therefore, in my opinion, country-runners need to be capable of predicting future possibilities and being prepared for it.

On the other hand, talking about individuals, despite the prominent role of the future in everyone’s lives, our future is the result of our present decisions. So, in order to be successful, now is the time of action. For instance, consider a person who is fantasizing about his/her future as being a well-known doctor. This goal would not be achieved if he/she does not study and try hard at the present time. This is true about other aspects of our lives too. You could not be in a good shape if you do not exercise today, you will not be rich if you do not work meticulously now, and so on.

In conclusion, despite countries that need to be more focused on the future to be able to survive, the present and today’s activities should be the priority of individuals as it is like seeding a plant that could be harvested tomorrow.
