In modern society, where technology is widely expanding and enhancing people are tend to become more reliant on using the internet and living in the “virtual world”, rather than real life world seeing as it is much simpler and efficent. Whilst other individuals argue that the physical world has much more opportunities for a person. In my opinion, I believe that excessive involvment in the virtual world can lead to many disadvantages for a person’s personality, including trying to socialize and interact with other individuals.
People who argue that the virtual world is better believe that this is a way where individuals can improve their personality, social skills, and communication skills. They find it much more efficent because people can make global connections, educational opportunitites, and shy people can build a stronger character to gain confidence. Some examples are, online game apps, social media, and work courses to improve social and teamwork skills.
However, I believe that excessive reliability on the virtual world has many disadvantages for humans. Being constantly online and not aware of the outside world is such a horrible way to live and will eventually lead to social isolation and lack of communication skills. This will reduce physical activity and is damiging to a humans mental and physical health. A great example is, todays youngsters being well known with technology and constantly using it which makes them lack social skills and struggle to make connections.
In conclusion, although the virtual worls may have its advantages such as global connections and opportuninties to learn, I strongly still believe they are most likely to be brain damaging and horrible for social communications.
