There is a belief that due to the dvelopment of artificial intellignce humans will eventually become a secondary factor in scientific fields. Others, however, think that human brain with its intuitivness and ethical knowlage is irraplaceble. From my perspective, while ai rapidly developos and will continue to, is will remain tool and won’t take over the main role.
On the one hand, rapid development of AI already threatens a large number of proffessional. For instance, graphic design, writing and even some parts of filmaking such as editing and 3d modeling are already being delegated to AI. There is not enough evidence to claim that in the near future artificial inteligance will not take over other more complex responsibilities. In addition, ai is an independantly developing intelligance that can make real decisions and rely on its own experiences, which makes it potentially more efficient than a real scientist would be as it has an intelectual source and processes information much faster than humans can.
On the other hand, artificial intelligance itself was made by a human to solve a particular issue. Being made to fasten solving that a people can actually reach by themselves, although it would take much more time. Having said that, AI cannot be an independent creature without guidance as it doesn’t face issues human do so has no aims regarding fisical world. Furthermore, it aslo lacks natural curriosity and is just consumer of whatever we decide to present to it.
I myself am inlclinde to belive that artificial intelligance is more of an equipment for us than an indepentant professional, and will continue to be one in the future.
