In today’s context, there is an ongoing debate surrounding the escalating number of youngsters who are addicted to video games. While some individuals assert that it is a kind of self-entertainment, others contend that it has an unfavourable impact on dults. In my perspective, I firmly believe that computer games are wasting the valuable time of teenagers.
On the one hand, computer games could be a significant investment for various programming companies all over the world. They gain a million dollars every year due to these games, such as CALL OF DUTY and PUBGY. Additionally, gamers earn a lot of money from playing games. There are many video game competitions held in the UAE and South Korea and supported by huge companies like Samsung. Moreover, these games catalyse teenagers to think outside the box to find solutions, increasing their competitive aspirations.
On the other hand, there are various cons to playing computer games if they aren’t controlled by parents. Firstly, it wastes time for adolescents; this time could be used for improving their skills and learning something new. For instance, parents can encourage their juveniles to learn programming languages that can aid them in developing this kind of game. Secondly, these games have a negative impact on the mental health of children. Many new studies conclude that spending more time on video games drives a lack of attention and makes children prefer isolation from others; they live in a virtual life created by their minds.
In conclusion, computer games should be determined by parents, and families should find alternative ways to make children exploit their time for useful things.
