These days an extinction of animal species is considered to be a natural process and nothing should be done to prevent this. Even though, there are various natural phenomena that can cause the extinction of specific animals, I strongly believe that individuals should be concerned about their influence on conservation of vulnerable species.Firstly, it is crucial to mention that not only natural phenomena can cause the extinction of specific animals. Sometimes it can be caused by air or ocean pollution, degradation of environment, or poor waste disposal which all are consequences of human made factories and industrial processes. Moreover, hunting might be another reason that can cause extinction of some species. For example, saiga, the type of an antelope, used to be hunted because of it’s horns and was almost fully extinct by the beginning of 20th century. Later, in the middle of last century, conservation methods such as restriction of hunting and creation of preserves with their natural habitat, which helped to increase saiga’s population.
Furthermore, the extinction of animals from natural processes such as earthquakes, volcanoes and others should not stop people from finding out and implementing ways of preserving animals. It is important to observe the conditions of animal’s natural habitat and recreate them in governmental natural preserves. The other way of preventing extinction is to reduce environmental pollution and toxic emissions to save animals’ habitat.
In conclusio, although extinction on animal species might be caused by natural processes, it is still essential to take the responsibility for man-made influence on their habitat and create preserves to save vulnerable species.
