However, I completely disagree with this point of view and believe those traditional customs deserve to be kept for reasons, encompassing usefulness and maintaining human history.

To elaborate, maintaining cultural heritage provide a sense of continuity and an association to earlier times since they embody the values, beliefs, and customs of a specific community or society. Moreover, numerous customs that date back centuries foster unity and social cohesion among communities. People come together through rituals, ceremonies, and celebrations, which promote a sense of shared identity and belonging.
Additionally, being able to demonstrate that some traditional practices and behaviors are vital archives of human history is another compelling argument in favor of preserving them. For example, people celebrate Christmas in the West and Lunar New Year, which brings families together and reminds people of their ancestors’ history, in many East Asian and Southeast Asian countries, including China and Vietnam. Thus, one of the greatest treasures in human history is the bridge that these customs have built between modern civilization and ancient history. As a result, it’s critical to maintain certain customs from the past.
