Band 6+: As the world becomes technologically advanced, computers are replacing people at more and more jobs. What are some job positions that may be lost because of computers? What are some problems that may result from this situation?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Technology is the one of the important things in nowadays life, because especially after the pandemic, people adapted to learn, attend meetings and other things online, without a need to spend time and meet face to face. But it also had another side that is replacing people at more and more jobs. In my opinion, in the far future professions can be replaced but robots can not do the same job, with the same quality as a human being. Technology can be lagging, adaptability is also important key and emotional intelligence is a significant factor.

Firstly, technology can lag and can make huge mistakes and it will need an amount of time to repair it.It can lag due to some factors such as improvement, because of a rapid pace of innovation that comes out faster than adapting to a new system. For some people it can be confusing and just a waste of time because after getting used to a system they will ned to adapt again and there will be a little self improvement for a person. Some hospitals lag in using electronic health records and still rely on paper records. This is often due to costs and staff resistance, which can lead to mistakes in patient care.

Secondly, humans have the ability to adapt to new situations and think outside the box. While technology can perform specific tasks efficiently, it lacks the creative problem-solving skills and flexibility that humans demonstrate in unpredictable environments. It is programmed only to a specific situations and can just give only a general advice and information. For instance, a teacher can adjust their lesson based on students’ reactions, using creativity, while educational software may not adapt to those immediate needs.

Thirdly, the thing that only a person has in emotional intelligence.Humans can understand and manage their emotions and those of others. This emotional intelligence is important in jobs like counseling, teaching, and customer service, where empathy and connection with people matter.Because relating to others and responding to their feelings builds trust and makes interactions more effective. For example, a customer service representative who hears a frustrated caller can show understanding and offer help, leading to a better experience for the customer.

To sum up, technology is important today, especially after the pandemic, for online learning and meetings. However, humans still do better at many jobs.it can not replace the unique skills of humans. People bring creativity and emotional understanding to their work, which are essential in many jobs. It’s important to value these strengths as we use more technology.

Online learning has matured into a formidable alternative to traditional classrooms, leading many universities to increasingly shift away from face-to-face instruction.
