It is widely argued that whether businesses should operate for making profit or they should perceive social responsibilities. I am firmly believing they should maintain balancing approach in two criteria.
One the one hand, there are many reasons why people believe that businesses should give priority to making enough profit if they want to survive in the competitive world.
Firstly, it is important to gain adequate profit to expanding any business organization and it extremely relies on worker satisfaction. If the workers get higher salary, sustainable atmosphere and supporting work colleague, they will get motivated to work more effectively, leading to increase production and profits, which is why businesses must earn adequate profit to cover their monthly expenses and increase worker satisfaction to increase production and gain brand loyalty. Furthermore, a significant amount of taxes is collected from large business corporations which allow the government to invest in developing public infrastructure.
One the other hand, it is undeniable fact that social responsibility should be given the main priority for every business it they want to extend their business, enhance brand values across the country. Firstly, every business holder must concern about the negative impact of environmental problems. Additionally, before discharging wastes into the river they must purify it through the waste treatment plants to make it environment friendly. To serve the community, they usually give donation in different charitable foundations to support the underprivileged people who faces difficulties due to the economic hardship, by offering free education and ensuring complementary health services for them.
In conclusion, it is worth emphasizing that generating revenue and perceive social responsivities are equally important in different perspectives. I firmly appreciate this point of view.
