On the one hand, People living in remote area of world which not have sufficient offline shopping alternatives, buying online can be very beneficial. In-person stores have a limited types of things available, whereas online stores have far more to offer.Individuals can also purchase something specific from other part of the world which may not available at offline stores. For instance, in the UK, there is a surge in teenagers wearing traditonal Indian dresses as they can buy directly from local indian merchant using e-commerce platforms such as shopify and amazon. This can be a very great advantage as a person need not to travel, thousands of miles in order to try something from other tradition.Moreover, it offers convience to youngsters as they are tend to be more lathargic nowadays. They can buy something small as a chocolate from online shopping platforms using platforms such as zepto, which offers 10-minutes delivery.
On the other hand, people are socialising less because shopping has become an online activity now. Buying clothes or other items can be a great way to spend time with your friends, however, now many individuals do it using the Internet, which results in decrease of social skills and the desire to socialise. However, in my opinion, the advantages outweigh the drawbacks because socialisation is not only going shopping, but also hanging out with your friends, going to school or university together.Moreover, even though online shopping is becoming popular, offline shopping is still pretty common and there are people who prefer trying on clothes in real life, so I do not think all of the malls are going to go bankrupt and close.
In conclusion, buying things on the Internet has both drawbacks such as decreasing socialisation and closure of real-life shops, however, there is no dangers or risks from these. Advantages, such as diversity of stores and convinience, outweigh the disadvantages
