The action of building an open patio space has been a hotly debated topic amongst customers. In my perspective, developing a new branch is more appropriate for numerous reasons.
Conspicuously, the aftermath of the pandemic has generated a significant rise in the demand of eateries. This is because citizens want to come out of the lockdown mode. Furthermore, since most of the offices are operating in offline work arrangements, there is a massive requirement of eating places in the city outskirts. To cite an example, chains like Subway and Pizza Pizza have already launched new branches in the shopping mall outside the city.
Conversely, some people presume that establishing an open patio space is more sound. Nonetheless, the patio space will not be able to fulfil the growing hunger of new restaurants. One apparent reason is it can accommodate only 25 people and will not be serving during winters. Moreover, managing the parking space will be a nightmare at the current cafe.
In light of the aforementioned points, I still stand my stance. That is, investing in a new branch is a pragmatic approach to optimise the available funds since if holds the potential to hold more customers without any parking or season restrictions.
