It is true that taking care of children usually considered as the most significant job in any society. Thus, it should be mandatory for all parents to take a course that helps them to be better in terms of upbringing. Although I disagree with parents taking courses to be a better caregiver, I still believe there are tips for parents attending courses that can help to up-bring a child a better way.
Any course normally has its own pricing and people have to dedicate a specific amount of time to attend those courses. This factor proves that it is not a practical way to make every parent better when caring for their children, because of the low financial status of many families and lack of time. Some families are not capable of purchasing a course or cannot take those courses because of their crowded schedule. In India, for example, nearly third of the population considered as poor, which means that some part of the population will not be able to take those courses. Furthermore, people who work everyday, like engineers or doctors, basically have no time to take these training programs.
These programs can show better directions for parents, however. The majority of fathers ad mothers doesn’t know various aspects of upbringing such as health or emotional care. It is difficult for them , for instance, to show the first help when a kid catches a flu or to react properly when child starts crying. Courses can offer working and practical solutions for problems of this kind. By learning how to deal with them parents enhance their upbringing skills and will be more aware of their kid’s state. Thus, courses can give guidance for them to be better at parenting.
In conclusion, I firmly disagree with required courses for all mothers and fathers to become better parents because of the costs of the courses and time deficit of many adults. However, there are some benefits that courses give to parents such as health or emotional care guidance.
