Admittedly, the negative implications of celebrities’ influence on teenagers are considerable. One primary concern is the public display of poor behavior by some celebrities. For instance, there are numerous videos on social media depicting famous individuals exhibiting rudeness towards their fans, often attributed to a sense of entitlement. Furthermore, some well-known personalities resort to drug use as a means to cope with the pressures of their work. Consequently, some adolescents may emulate the behavior of these celebrities, thereby impacting their own conduct. However, this challenge can be addressed through parental guidance. Parents, as the primary caregivers, should educate their children about discerning appropriate role models and understanding the implications of imitating a celebrity’s lifestyle.
Despite the aforementioned drawbacks, I would argue that this trend represents a positive development for a variety of reasons. Firstly, notwithstanding the misconduct of certain celebrities, there are numerous public figures who serve as exemplary role models for teenagers. For example, in the Vietnamese entertainment industry, many celebrities are committed to volunteering for the benefit of disadvantaged individuals, thereby raising awareness among teenagers about contributing to societal welfare, such as donating used toys to underprivileged children. Additionally, teenagers can draw inspiration from the stories of celebrities who have overcome adversity to achieve success, regardless of their humble beginnings. Consequently, such narratives can inspire adolescents to strive for academic excellence, leading to greater achievements in their own lives.
In conclusion, while there are some drawbacks associated with the influence of celebrities on teenagers, I am of the view that these challenges can generally be addressed. Furthermore, the substantial benefits that this trend offers make it a positive and valuable development.
