Festivals are a great way to celebrate different occasions; however, the investments that the government has to put into the festivals can be very beneficial for those in need. Although it is a great way to build up the spirit of the locals, I would disagree and say that it would be way more helpful to provide for those living in poverty.
The time and investments that the government has to put into the whole organization, decoration, and invitations can be a startling amount due to today’s inflation, which affects us all. In that case, as prices rise, so do real estate properties, resulting in greater numbers of homeless people. All those expenses can be given to those in need, so all people would be happy for a longer period of time and not just a few hours.
By helping the poor, the government can motivate them and provide them with work, which will help society. For example, if poor people have jobs, they can move out of the streets, which will keep them cleaner. Another example is that if people do have paying jobs, they can no longer feel sorrow and feel useful in society, resulting in more working hands being provided to a particular work sphere.
The blood, sweat, and tears poured out in a festival can be put into providing for those in need. By doing so, the government will see a drastic change in the number of people ready to work and benefit society, resulting in a better life for a long period of time, rather than fun for a few hours caused by a simple festival that does not help the poor.
