In today’s era of advanced technology, almost everyone have own smartphones, televisions and other electronic gadgets. Some argue that children watch significantly more television now than in the past, which can negatively impact their minds and decrease their engagement in daily practical activities. I believe that there are more drawbacks than the advantages.
There are several benefits of watching television. Firstly, television offers educational programs and documentaries that can enhance knowledge and learning. For example, programs from channels like National Geographic and discovery where children or student watch and learn about science, culture, and history. Moreover, television provides entertainment, which can be a good way for children to relax. To illustrates, popular children’s cartoons and family- friendly movies that can offer relaxation and joy.
On the other hand, watching too much television can have a negative effect on children. Children are spending more time on screens, which reduces their physical activities. This includes playing outdoors, going out with friends, and engaging in face-to-face interactions. Also, watching TV can effect on children’s academic performance. For instance, high TV consumption can reduce the time available for homework and studying, which may negatively impact academic performance.
To sum up, watching TV can generate some interest and knowledge in children. I believe the drawbacks of reduce time for studying and homework.
