Nowadays, software and technology have thrust our lives with its dependencies. Children have stopped using pens, thus losing the art or skill of writing by hand. The following will discuss my opinion in detail, highlighting the importance of writing manually.
Writing manually using pen and paper inhibits in us a certain level of confidence. In addition to this, our mind also grows towards creativity and accumulate within us new capabilities to think positively. For instance, ancient times renowned writers and poets used to write by hand, and they penned down all their emotions. Nevertheless, today’s poets cannot beat their work. Rather, our culture and regional languages are preserved from getting extinct. Imagine if our forefathers had not used papers, we would not have got interesting facts about history.
However, today’s generation is only prone to writing from keypads of mobile,tablets etc . Apart from this, even the idea creations are getting generated using AI options like ChatGPT and put no efforts on thought process as well. All of these reasons are impacting new generation growth and learning behaviour as well. Last but not least, an important emotional bond with our grandparents has been retained among old generation. Because, as we all grow with technology and pace of time, they not always accept new changes and technologies leading to disconnection with us causing emotional insecurities.
To conclude, writing encourages within us confidence and the power to learn and think outside the box. Parents and schools should encourage children to write on paper and some measures and frameworks should be followed to execute this strictly.
