As an expansion of urbanization. I strongly believe that governments should focus on developing better networks of public transportation over building more roads because it have the potential to benefit people in many ways.
The foremost benefit is affordability. Nowadays, private public transportation is charging high from the individuals in means of facilities and other services, but the cost is very low as compared to what they charge for. To counter this, governments should provide affordable transportation for a public with better services and amenities. So that they can travel without worrying about cost and other expenses. For example, many western countries’ governments offer free public transportation with good services. Hence, people can save more money, which had been used on transportation.
The second significant advantage is quicker transportation. Governments should improve and involve new methods of transportation such as trains, buses, and other public transportation. Regular maintenance of trains and buses allows them to travel without any mechanical issue, which helps to speed up transportation. Moreover, well-maintained public vehicles will feel more comfortable and flexible, which is still never offered by private transportation even if people pay for it.
In conclusion, governments have the potential to make free and better public transportation for people, or else they should lower fuel prices. Therefore, people can afford even private transportation in emergencies.
