Changes in the climate are believed to be the most serious problem for the planet Earth. This opinion is quite accurate since the issue causes many destructive consequences, but there is still a problem that is far more dangerous, namely, nuclear weapon holding.
Climate change is surely one of the biggest threats to mankind. It has a lot of dangerous consequences that could possibly kill the life on the Earth. Glaciers melting, which in its turn causes a rise of sea level, extremal heat, the depletion of pure water, and other serious issues are caused by this global problem. In the last decade, the average air temperature increased by 7 degrees Celcius, this change, for exmaple, is damaging the agriculture in the Mauerennahr region, as the water recources are becoming scarce.
However, countries having nuclear weapons are way bigger of a threat. For today, 9 nations own such weapons already, and this number is predicted to increase, because of the political state of the world that is getting more and more heated. Some people can lack patience, so conflicts nowadays escalate really fast. If any conflict will reach the point when the nuclear weapons are used, the humanity will die out soon, as those weapons can kill whole cities in a moment, and their reach is huge. A famous scientists, Albert Einstein once said that the Fourth World War will be fought with sticks and rocks. That is to say that the next big military conflict would definetly involve such weapons, and they would destroy the humanity.
In conclusion, the climate change is for sure one of the most serious predicaments nowadays since of its harsh consequences, although nuclear weapon owning is more of a threat.
