“Lessons are repeated Until learned”
I have experienced Success and failures parallelly, with both engraving a my vision and purpose. I have experienced failure in personal goals which have thrived success professionally. Analysation of my experiences has benefitted in many possible ways.
I will count getting a promotion offer from other company being only 1 year experienced as a success to me. It is a highest point I can think I have succeeded in as was going through personal failure in tracks to which I was dedicated to. In addition what counts as success over here is, that I was noob with no experience or knowledge in that domain, but I didn’t fool interviews but clarified to them regarding my expertise and my curiosity to learn more, my manager labelled me as a rebellious nature who makes things happen rather than waiting them to happen. I believe it was success that my personal failures didn’t pull me back but in fact I was thriving to get out of my responsibilities having no more challenges and monotonous work.
Coming to Failures, I can conclude that I am product of my failures. I could never be what I am today as an individual if I have not encountered continuous failures. During last year of my college, when it was covid, one could see where life was heading and how humanity was struggling. Too much demotivated to work and not enthusistic to code at all, I was feeling helpless. I took reading as hobby and began studying for UPSC. I landed a good job in an MNC, but prepared for UPSC. I moved to another city, failed UPSC twice. The ultimate thought was maybe I am a failure and was not happy with my job as I couldn’t see any impact that affects millions of people who I have read about. I changed my job domain and city took a break and evaluated myself and failures. UPSC taught me what I loved most, as it demands interdisciplinary knowledge I was more interested in economics and International politics impacting Public policy. I searched for different alternatives I could move to my desired domain and landed in IIFT interview, but some paperwork was missed. IIFT allowed me to regain confidence in my knowledge and my ability of thinking.
Some additional domains that I have self studied allowed me to change my perceptions about my work, it turned out to be more interesting and I was able to see things that we ignored. I failed and learnt about myself, the power of collaboration, the willingness of others to help you, and trying to be a man of value to others.
