In the modern contemporary society, convenience foods becoming more common. Some people believe that they will completely replace traditional foods and cooking methods in the future. However, others claim that traditional foods will maintain their place. I disagree with the concept that national foods will one day disappear and I will support my opinion with examples in the following essay.
To begin with, traditional foods are healthier than convenience foods. Most convenience foods contain more salt and sugar which lead to health problems like heart disease. On the other hand traditional meals are made from fresh and national ingredients, making them better for a person’s health.
Moreover, traditional foods are big part of culture. Every country has its own unique dishes that represent its history and traditions. If people stop cooking traditional meals, they may lose an important part of their cultural identity. For example, Kazakh people value beshbarmak as a symbol of hospitality and cultural heritage.
Finally cooking traditional foods bring families together. Many families enjoy preparing meals and eating together which helps to save their relationships. If everyone only eats convenience foods, they may spend less time with their loved ones.
To summarise while convenience foods are comfortable, they will not replace traditional foods completely. Since they are healthier, culturally important and help maintain strong family bonds. Therefore it is important to keep traditional cooking methods alive .
