In this fast-paced society, the demand for instant meals has grown up due to several factors. While some argue that homemade food will be replaced by quick meals, I broadly disagree with that phenomenon as it can lead to a number of losses.
On the one hand, there are several factors that contribute to convenience food. First and foremost, many prefer spending less time on cooking as they might have multitasks, which promotes productivity and efficiency. After working long hours, many feel exhausted towards the end of the day due to their work, and household chores. As a result, they frequently opt for quick meals, which help people ease their lives. If people naturally adapt to such lifestyle in the forthcoming future, traditional cooking would be replaced by packaged meals.
On the other hand, even though there are strong arguments about this trend, I still support the view that home-cooked meals will never be replaced by convenience food. One of the major reasons is that homemade meals promote cultural identity and heritage as they have been cooked by hands for a long time. As traditional food has nutritional value and freshness, more and more people seek such food unintendently. traditinal food not only help us to stay healthy, but also it strengthen the relationships among families. This implies that people tend to spend more time with their relatives and have a pleasant conversiation, which creates an opportunity to strengthen the social bonds with their family members.
In conclusion, although instant meals can ease our lives by time-saving benefits and instant gratification, in my view, traditional food has an important role in the growth of society.
