It is argued that nations are appealing with the same look because of similar consumption patterns. I think it is a bad development because it erases cultures, as well as advocates for mass production.
Culture is a set of traits related to a nation or a country, but the desire to follow trends erases the uniqueness. Different traditions are drawn down by a production industry, whether these are movies or clothes. People are trying to fit in and sell the product to customers without caring about originality, only thinking about the money. For example, Bollywood has been changed by the influence of the American movie industry. People around the world gave Hollywood fame, and Indian movies started to appear as something weird and unnatural.
A varietyof climate zones makes mass production a big issue. Canadians simply can not wear the same all-season clothes as Brazilians because the foregoing country lies in the southern hemisphere. It leads Brazil to have summer all year round. In addition, some regions may not be suitable for the production of particular things, which can cause an economic decline and a deficit. For instance, Georgia is a small country with the same landscapes everywhere. In general, those are mountains and forests. It doesn’t allow this region to grow cultures like rice or bamboo naturally, so only Georgians will have to pay additional tax on imported goods.
To conclude, countries seem to have the simmilar buying pattern, because people popularise a set of things with the influence of others. I believe it’s a negative development because the resources may differ from one region to another. This makes imports and exports useless and can ruin some countries’ economies.
