The U.S. is known for its desire to attract individuals from other countries through numerous programs. For instance, the diversity program, H-1B programs, and the most common one is the Optional Practical Training program, or “OPT.” This program is mostly for international students who desire to experience the working field in the U.S. after graduation, and, of course, sometimes this converts to a permanent residency.
With that being said, it is absolutely normal to have various cultures in one place because of the number of people coming from different nations to start a new life in the U.S. This has both pros and cons. For example, big companies benefit from immigrants since they will be able to have more workers rather than having few. Although, this might be an issue for some since they will be responsible for paying for a specific visa to sponsor their employees under the H-1B visa, which costs a lot of money for the attorney who is going to be seeking the documents they need to provide to the company for which they are working.
Another pro of immigration is increasing the economic industry. When more people come to the U.S., that means they will be purchasing properties, vehicles, etc. This, of course, will help the U.S. enhance its economy. Discussing the last impact of immigrants: the social impact. An impact will definitely occur on the American people when they live and work among people from other countries; they will be adopting some of their acts, whether they are good or not. Although, I do not think this is a main thing to talk about, it happens when they communicate with others on a daily basis, like at the supermarket, banks, schools, etc. Both sides will be impacted by each other.
