I believe that homework is necessary for students because they are still in the process of learning, and they need extra activities to help them fully understand and remember what they have studied. Homework gives students the chance to practice what they learned in class, which helps them master the subject better. Without homework, many students might struggle to keep up with their lessons, especially if they need more time to absorb new information.
On the other hand, some students may be able to understand the lessons well during class time, but without regular practice at home, they may forget important points or fail to develop strong study habits. Homework also helps teachers see if students really understood the topic or if they need more help.
However, I believe that the amount of homework given should be reasonable. Too much homework can stress students and take away time for rest or other activities. In conclusion, homework is important for reinforcing lessons and helping students become more confident in their studies, as long as it is balanced and not overwhelming.
