It is apparent that the obesity problem in society is growing day by day. As a result, there is a pressure on the health care system to do better at controlling the number of people with obesity. People argue that adding a curriculum on physical education at school is a good way to solve this issue. I definitely agree that teaching children on this matter is an effective way to deal with this ongoing problem. Firstly, it is essential to teach minors from a young age about physical health; secondly, children will grow to be responsible adults with good eating habits in the future.
It is clear that it is necessary to educate children on the topic of obesity and importance of health from the school age. If the children are taught about health issues at school, they are more likely to be more careful with what they eat at home or outside of the school due to the lessons they have learned from the school. For instance, even if a child might want to overeat sweets, he or she might rethink the decision, remembering the lessons.
Most importantly, they will become responsible adults with good eating habits in the future. The majority of people tend to eat excessively due to the lack or limited knowledge of eating habits. Furthermore, teaching juveniles about healthy lifestyles has a good impact on society. For example, having sufficient knowledge from school encourages children to be fit and has positive effects on their adulthood.
In conclusion, having an extra curriculum on the subject of physical health offers many benefits to society by lowering the increasing number of overweight population in society. This is strived to achieve by educating school children at a young age. Because of these reasons, I strongly agree that this is the best way to deal with this matter.
