It is a wide spread belief that economic growth is the only way to define a success of a country. However, there are many other factors that contribute to nation’s success and in my opinion, education is the most important of all.
Apart from economic growth, education, health and human right must be taken in consideration when measuring a nation’s success. In term of education, many developed countries come with a lot of great facilities like schools, universities, institutes, …. It shows the government cares for the future generations of workforce, creating more opportunity for a country to grow. Otherwise, a developed healthcare system also illustrates a nation’s living standard, by looking its citizen’s life expectancy or available medical services. While, human rights also play an important role in political stability. Imagine if a country’s policy violated fundamental rights for human, there would be a lot of protests, strikes or even civil war, which will put that country in a verge of collapse.
In my personal view, a nation’s education should be considered as the most vital aspect of its level development. Because education has a major impact on the other factors that mentioned above. Regarding to healthcare, all of doctors and nurses need to be trained, moreover, scientists need to study to highest level in other to research. In other that, the more develop education system, the better health system is. Education also creates more well-educated workforce, leading to the flourish of many industries and companies. That will make a great opportunity to produce more goods, which is used to trade with other countries to create more wealth.
In conclusion, a country’s success can be defined by various factors but education must be the most important one.
