Nowadays, most educational institutions and workplaces depend on testing to measure students’ understanding of the curriculum, while in workplaces, evaluations are conducted to determine if candidates are suitable or qualified for a position. I tend to agree that education has increasingly depending on test and result than make be good citizen but i have some reservations on it
The first reason why I agree that focusing on the test and results only could lead to narrow definition of success . In many educational system pupils are increasingly evaluating them based on thier abiliy in memories information and thier performance in exam . This make the more compitive and focuing only in one goal which is passing the exam with high mark While ignoring the importance of developing ethical awarenessand emotional intelligence which helps them to engage in societal issues. These qualities are play a vital role in becoming responsible and active citizens can contribute to thier community.
The second reason why i agree that is the pressure to perform well in test can lead to stress and burnout which making it harder for the pupils to follow thier passion or social responsibilities. Moreover, focusing on test also can limit creativity and personal growth.
However, testing is not bad its help to know where is students weaknesses where they need to improve. The problem comes when the only way to judge the students value and success. The better way is when ita includes thinga llike critical thinking and community activities with the teats. This way can helpa people to be academically qaluified and good citizens .
To sum up with , tests and results are imprtaant in assessing academic performance. Education institutions should not rely only on testing pupil’s knowledge they should also fouce on how to make them more thoughtful,responsible and active citizens.
