Employers sometimes ask people for the job for their personal information such as their hobbies and interests and whether they are single and married. It is a tradition to ask these questions from applicants so that an employer could judge the personality of the applicant. For example if i am going to interview an applicant i would like to ask him first of all about his academic achievements and to check his psychological conditions i will ask him personal questions like his hobbies, interests and about his marital status to consider whether he is suitable for this job or not, is his mental condition is better for this job or not.
But many people have their own point of view that when someone is going to interview for a job he must be asked about his academic degrees and achievements. If he is suitable for this kind of job or not. Employer should not ask about his personal life because it is totally irrelevant. He is not bound to answer about his personal life.Even some people do not share their personal life aspects. May be they have issues with their marital life or some other problems. Some people have not any hobbies so they afraid to tell people that they are so boring.
At the end we are going to give a conclusion. In my opinion in interview such questions must be asked so that you can judge a person that he has no issues about his personal life because if he is passing through some bad phase of life he will not concentrate on his work and might possible he will not perform well in his responsibilities. That would not be better for an employer. At the end of my statement i will strongly recommend that personal questions must be asked because his academic degrees are already mentioned in his cv.So that an employer could find a person totally dedicated with his work.
