Band 6+: Environmentol problems such of pollution ond climatic violations are increasing nowadays. The governmenls hove taken some measure at global level.But they got only few solutions. Why is its so? How con this problem be solved ?

Currently, environmental degradation continues to become a much greater concern. Although governments have followed some preventative strategies, results are not much promising. This is a serious issue because it directly affects nature, damaging the planetary health. This essay will consider the main causes of environmental degradation, before proposing two possible solutions, namely imposing more effective laws to curb the greenhouse gas emissions and using greener alternatives of energy sources.

Perhaps the most important contributor to environmental problems is the increased rate of pollutants emitted from cities in the modern age. Rampant release of pollutants from factories and vehicles dismally affect the environmental health. Because of the industrial and technological developments in cities, more waste is released into nature, that leads to a decline in the ecological health, as these advancements are rarely environmentally-friendly. As a result, environmental issues occur, particularly those which result from air pollution such as ozon layer depletion. Another key factor is excessive dependence on fossil fuels. Although they are more commonly used than their alternatives, their use harms nature more, as hazardous gases such as CO2 and CO are emitted. This means that the popularity of fossil fuels is one of the main reasons why climate change becomes more severe.

Fortunately, however, there are two promising solutions to this problem. First of all, governments should impose and enforce stricter rules to ensure that factories filter their emissions. This would certainly help in reducing air pollution which is detrimental to environment. For example, factories which release dangerous gasses without filtering should be forbidden to operate. Secondly, more alternative energy sources could be introduced on a global scale in order to decrease fossil fuel reliance and prevent environmental health from further deteriorating.

In conclusion, environmental degradation is an appalling concern which is primarily caused by pollutants emitted from cities, along with the popularity of fossil fuels across the world. I recommend that regulations on factories’ gas emissions should be implemented thoroughly, and greener means of energy should be prioritised over fossil fuels.
