It is often claimed that every school system in the world includes regular tests and exams. For this reason, most people believe that students should take a large number of exams. I definitely believe that taking exams is useful for checking students’ knowledge.
It is undeniable that taking regular tests can have several advantages for students. As a teacher, I have my own experience. At first, they help us see how well students understand the information and have learned the material. For instance, if many students receive low marks in a particular subject and we can identify the problem and spend more time explaining the topics and repetitive the subjects.
On the other hand, these examinations can encourage students to study regularly instead of leaving on the same stage we try to prepare them again until the end of the school year. As a result, tests should help students acquire knowledge and study habits and they become more responsible for their education.
To be conclude, although regular tests and exams foster critical thinking, they also monitor students’ progress. By the way I don’t think that students should take excessive numbers of exams. The most effective method it is managing a combination of examinations and balanced approach to education.
