Nowadays, many languages are dying out every year. Many believe that this is not a critical issue, but instead, that it will make their lives simpler. This essay will include why I mostly agree that disappearing languages do not need to be taken care of, and why this will make life easier.
One school of thought asserts that the dying out of languages is not a serious problem. Proponents argue that dying out languages does not affect our daily lives, because these languages are not popular. If they die out, nobody is going to be impacted because their spoken languages still exist. For instance, people in cities can continue using their national languages without disturbing their daily routines. In addition, it is widely known that young local people mostly prefer learning commonly used languages instead of studying their own. Although some people claim that this will lead to more languages dying out, the supporters of this view believe that this would make communication easier because it will result in more people who are using the same languages.
Many say their life will be easier if many languages are not used. This process leads to a greater number of people speaking national languages in each country. This increases the chance of speaking the same languages among people in the country and makes communication more convenient. For example, in the past, people in the south and north of China couldn’t understand each other’s words, but today they are taught the Central Chinese language, so that they are able to understand each other. Furthermore, in the sight of local people, learning commonly used languages helps them to understand other people’s words. Since everyone in the area talks with varying local languages, therefore they decided to study their new languages that are widely used and global. For example, Singapore, which includes many ethnicities, has their national languages such as English, and Malay.
In conclusion, many languages are not used today, while some people think that they are not affected because of the stable of widely common languages they use, and said that their life will be easier because there are fewer language barriers among people. I mostly agree with this because this process normally happens in order to make a better way of communicating.
