There is no denying that higher education is essential. While it is a common belief that college education should be free for everyone, it is unfair that intelligent students cannot pursue opportunities at private schools due to financial issues. However, there is also an argument against this view. In my opinion, the government should provide both public and private universities for the people.
To begin with, it is crucial that intelligent individuals have opportunities in their own countries to enhance their skills. These individuals are essential for their nations, as they can significantly contribute to the development of their countries. Furthermore, there should be solutions and support for gifted individuals to help elevate others. For example, the government should offer scholarships or sponsorships for individuals with high IQs and talent, as it is unjust for their abilities to be wasted due to financial constraints.
Another point to consider is that in some countries, both public and private universities exist, with public universities often being free for all citizens. For instance, in Saudi Arabia, there are nearly eight public colleges in different regions that offer free education to all Saudi students, admitting about 20,000 students annually. Moreover, other countries create opportunities for talented students by establishing institutions tailored to their needs. For example, in the UAE, there is an institution called ‘Maouhebaty,’ which means ‘My Talent,’ that provides scholarships to gifted individuals, allowing them the chance to continue their education.
In conclusion, despite differing opinions, I believe that every person should have the right to complete their education. If countries wish to weaken themselves, they should disregard their brilliant individuals, who are the true strengths of their nations.
