In recent times, the loss of environmental resources is becoming a hot topic to discuss. Therefore, several people believe that humans should consume less resources instead of recycling more. However, I strongly disagree with this statement due to several reasons.
First and foremost, the decrease in the use of resources may result in greatly slower the development rate of industries and manufacturing. When the amount of resources is limited, it negatively affects the number of products since without material, humans can hardly produce goods. For instance, if beverage companies used less cans and bottles, they would not be able to make more bottled drinks. As a result, this reduces their income. Furthermore, it may exert a detrimental impact on the economy, leading to a lower pace of development
In addition, recycling increases the efficiency of manufacturing goods. It allows people to produce more based on used material with just a lower cost. Take the beverage companies as an example, instead of making brand new bottles and cans, they can produce them from the used glass. This saves a significant amount of money since they take advantage of consumed material rather than purchasing the new ones. Therefore, it, perhaps not directly, raises the average amount of money that an manufacture company can make.
In conclusion, I am against the opinion that people should be encouraged to consume less resource instead of recycling more. This is because that act may result in a slower rate of development in manufacturing goods. Additionally, recycling can boost the efficiency of producing goods of a company and increase the money it can make from selling them.
