In the era of digitalization, local culture is heavily impacted to the exposure of international media, such as films, TV and magazines. In my opinion the advantages of these impacts outweigh the disadvantages.

The world is a global village now. Every part of the earth is connected with each other through various medias. Through international medias, people are being able to learn new things everyday which eventually reshapes their cultures and thoughts. Their horizon of mind expands with the exposure of films, TV and magazines in everyday life.

With the help of international media, people are always up to date with the world. They are not restricted to any news source. So they are aware of what is going on around the world and open to react to the events worldwide This helps them in their decision making process.

On the other hand, it does have some disadvantages. The young generation are often distracted by these international medias and they are forgetting their origins. The local culture is fading away slowly and getting replaced by some other culture and thus cultrual heritage is on the verge of extinction, The contents shown and published in the media are not always properly filtered out. So it is a risk factor if wrong things are shown to the wrong audience.

However, despite some minor disadvantages, the international media is overally improving the social, technological, economical and political perspective of the people worldwide Though the local culture is sometimes affected due to the widespread and availability of international media, they are not much harmful. In the end of the day, the advantages outnumbers the disadvantages.
