Nowadays, a decreasing number of people are writing by hand using a pen, a pencil, or a brush. The main reason for this is that individuals are switching to digital technologies because they are more convenient and faster. In my opinion, I think that is a positive development as technologies are improving every day and humanity needs to correspond to standards.
To begin with, these days people tend to use typing quite often because schools and offices shift to digital technology. Workers find typing much easier as it has many functions such as deleting, editing, copying and pasting to save more time. For example, writing documents and tables by hand are ineffective due to people often making mistakes and they need to start writing again. As a result, with typing they give the best edited document in less time. Moreover, individuals use social media and online websites a lot and they write comments, messages by typing. This is why people got used to typing in recent times.
On the other hand, the decline in handwriting can be seen as a positive development. Firstly, typing allows people to share and write information much faster than writing by hand, which is really important in the modern workplace and school. For instance, students can quickly save materials online and have easy access to them or employees can finish their daily tasks and do extra work. Therefore, typing can increase the overall efficiency of a job or education. Furthermore, writing by hand is quite difficult to understand because not everyone has good handwriting. For this reason, typing is more convenient to write and read.
In conclusion, fewer and fewer people write by hand thanks to technological advancements. I believe that it is a positive improvement because typing is much easier and more understandable for people.
