Band 6+: Fossil fuels, coal, oil, and natural gases are the main sources in many countries, but in some countries the use of alternative sources of energy, wind energy, and solar energy is encouraged. To what extent do you think it is a positive or negative development?

Some countries have utilised non-renewable resources such as oil, coal, and natural gases as primary sources, although in other countries, eco-friendly and renewable energy like wind or solar energy have been used. I believe renewable sources used today, are the first step toward not only improving the technology but also the amount of pollution diminished. Moreover, countries become independent of other countries’ sources.

Firstly, the non-renewable sources are limited. If all the world wanted to utilise them, they would promptly finish. Thanks for non-renewable energy will have become valuable by next years. That event can impact other aspects of human life like the economy or developing science to solve these issues.

Since science developed, other sources using in some developed countries have appeared. For instance, before Germany improved their knowledge about solar cells, their weather and conditions had been suitable for applying this platform but they didn’t have enough technology to harvest solar heat. But now, the German government have provided situations leading them to be the first countries to utilise solar cell to produce energy. As Germany is an industrial country, this action can help them to reduce their pollution and not depend on the importance of oil.

One of the recent problems struggled with, is pollution. after the Industrial Revolution air pollution has steadily enhanced. today, scientists suggest using eco-friendly energy replaced by non-eco-friendly energy. that makes some countries that do not have enough resources can be independent of other countries. A century ago, some countries used to import energy from other countries; that is tricky if the country of origin you exported energy hadn’t stopped to provide energy for the destination country, whether by peace or war, the destination country would have gotten in serious trouble. But now if this circumstance occurred in Germany, they could manage the situation and non-negative effect on people’s lives.

To conclude, eco-friendly and renewable energy have several positive influences on human life like developing technology decreasing pollution and some countries becoming independent from others to import the required energy.
