Band 5+: Government investment in arts, such as music and theater, is a waste of money. Governments must invest this money in public services instead. Do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Authorities of a country should consider different aspects and invest wisely due to the limited budgets. While individuals discuss that improving public services is a priority, others believe that spending money in other fields like sports is vital and investment needs to be balanced.

Governments are responsible for improving citizen’s living standards which is achieveable by modernizing and evolving cities. A society with a proper educational and healthcare system is more likely to have healthier and knowledgeable people. Moreover, enhancements in the public trasnportation system in order to access all locations are imperative, as the towns get bigger and more populated. Considering time efficiency, various vehicles such as buses and subways could be interested in number and speed. For example, there are superfast subways in Tokyo which makes transportation much easier for people.

Nevertheless, athletes are an important part of society and should be encouraged thus this field can not be ignored. Participating in an international competition and winning a medal is a pride for the nation. Additionally, audiences from other countries get the opportunity to get familiar with culture and people of that nation. For instance, World Cup or Olympics gives the chance to all athletes to demonstrate their talent. However, performing successfully in such competitions is tough and requires a large investment in superior equipment.

In conclusion, developments in public services such as schools and hospitals are essential to improve life quality of people. Paying attention to sportsmen may lead to a growth in a nation’s popularity and should be considered equally.
