The issue of whether it is appropriate for the government to finance the public facilities or artistic activities is of great concern to many people. In my view, although artistic investment is crucial for the governmental, I believe our government should providing the funds in the public sectors as the most important establishment in the country, rather than spending the expense in the artistic ones.
On the one hand, while the arts is parts of people lives, the artistic investments for those experts can look for private groups to invest finance to them. Nowadays, a large number of individual companies or private foundations are investing a lot of money to lead those artistic workers to development their talent; therefore, artists can search for such a way of aids to develop their art. For example, a group called National Culture and Arts Foundation is a private sector, which is not only investing huge funds to aid our national arts, but they also give fiscal assistance to individual artists to create their art.
On the other hand, our country’s significant construction is vital for the government to provide a wide range of money to improve people’s lives. In fact, our social networks in transportations and households are not rather convenient; therefore, the governmental section should scrutinize these sectors to make lots of commuters be helpful and a number of the poor be agreeable by the national homes. For example, apart from Taipei’s traffic system, other cities are still not very useful for those workers to use in their daily lives. Moreover, a lot of needy people are insecure for their homes. Thus, I think our government should invest massive money either in our infrastructures or in poor individuals.
In conclusion, while our country’s arts are indispensable to our citizens’ life, those creators in arts are supposed to search for private foundations to help them create their art. However, I strongly believe that the societal development and poverty are urgent problems so that the authority should consider as an essential strategy to improve our residents’ live.(349)
