While many people argue that governments should separate more budget to arts and culture instead of amenities such as healthcare and education, I firmly disagree with this statement. From my perspective, basic needs are always would be priority. On top of that, advanced services inextricably linked with development level of a country.
First and foremost, governments always have to offer basis requires to citizens in that dissimilarly from private sector governments responsible to provide those services free. Generally metropolitan areas have socio-economic divide in society, additionally some people can not afford for their health fees and education payments. Likewise a lot of citizen suffer from poor quality of hospitals and schools. On the other hand wealthy people can access best schools and qualified hospitals. This pressing issue leads to widen the socio-economic divide in community. However, governments must provide equal services to every citizen and primarily offer high qualified services. For example, in India citizens suffer from lack of hygienic hospitals, because of that the disorders which is particularly viruses, affect the majority of society except from wealthy areas. Thus it produces wealth gap in population.
Furthermore, developed amenities plays a pivotal role in improvement level of a country. If a country provide high qualified education to students, the achievement rates will dramatically rise. Moreover, in the long term workforce and brain immigration will enhance. For example Germany is one of the most advanced country in the world. Their invaluable part of incomes come from immigrations. This demonstrate that education level and development directly connected.
Overall, many people believe that governments should not spend money to healthcare and education more than arts and culture however I strongly disagree with that statement due to priority level and development terms.
