It is frequently claimed that working hard for money is more essential than afford yourself some free time. Potentially, development of this point of view can be formed due to the increasing role of finances in contemporary world. To my mind, humans should focus more on self-development than on number of dollars in their wallets, so free time is more preferable.
It is undeniable that nowadays all people have to live in society of consumers. One’s status, way of life and possibility to make an independent choice in one’s own life in most cases depend on amount of money. So, it is phenomena everybody has to deal with. Probably, desire to gain as much money as possible and more could be provoked by wish to be free from financial restrictions.
To the contrast, variety of speeches about harm of overworking were made in numerous countries. For instance, the huge number of Japanese people got different psychological diseases that led them to the dreadful consequences due to their overworking. It is a wide-spread fact that people who spends all their free time in job subjected to be unhappy and die in early ages. That is why, it is absolutely important to make some time for rest and self-development.
In conclusion, to my opinion, the importance of money is overrated. In most cases if somebody uses all his or her energy to work, probably this person will not have enough time to spend all earned finances. Every day somebody dies and not needed money anymore. So, it is definitely better to spend your time to live in this world happily without strong attention to money.
