Band 6+: How does the design of buildings affect the places, positively and negatively, where people live and work.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In this neoteric epoch, buildings are developing at a very fast pace. Now I will tell how building structure affects workers in a positive or negative way.

To begin, the first and foremost reason is that nowadays some people like to work in a place that is full of natural things, like plants inside the building or in working areas. Due to this, they get positive vibes as well as a fresh mindset by watching plants or breathing fresh air. It helps them to improve work efficiency and to make good decisions while working.

Secondly, some people like to work in places that are totally different from previous structures; these kinds of people like to work by listening to music at a loud volume to work more quickly.

Some people have the ability to improve their work performance while doing different activities; listening to music is one of them. A survey conducted in 2014 and published in a newspaper found that people performing their favorite activities while working had positive results in their work.

Lastly, if we shift people who love plants in their surroundings to areas that are full of volume, they will not be able to work properly with a lot of noise. They will not get any positive energy while doing any activity, and moreover, they will feel disappointed. So, that is why the design of buildings affects the work efficiency of the people who work there.
