If I get a chance to improve something in my hometown, it would certainly be the mindset of inhabitants. People have ancient mindset about life in my area. such as: lack of political knowledge, criticism towards technological advancements and thinking like labor while at work.
One of the best thing about democracy is the right to vote for every citizen, unfortunately some people choose to ignore this basic advantage. I belong to a town called “ROHRI”. Where almost everyone votes for people, either they personally know or they are told to chose them. For instance, One of my Uncle (Cousin of father) is a councilor of our area , won last election by majority, now all the support he received was not because of his contributions rather the reason was people did not even know the opposition party. At the moment he is only taking corruption and ignoring his role. That being said, The more ignorant the nation, the worst rulers they’ll attract.
We live in 21st Century, where artificial intelligence and world of internet is on boom. While some nations take it as positive impact for human advancements, others believe it’s the root of all evil. I was born in a area where people support latter statement. Individuals don’t shop online because they believe it’s a scam, freelancers are considered jobless and AI is believed to be a robber, who steal employment oppurtunities. For example: In our place ride hailing companies don’t operate because people are scared of booking it.
In conclusion, these causes mentioned above only have one solution, brainwashing people into getting knowledge about current global economic system that’s the one thing I would like to alter in my home city.
