Nowadays, the number of childfree couples are increasing globally, creating a completely new dynamic in a family life. In twenty-first century individuals prefer to strongly focus on their career and finacial stability, while at the same time facing an extremely high child support costs.
It provides a visible benefits if couples make a decision not to have any child. Both potential parents can fully devote themselves to work and achieve career heights without experiencing an unavoidable limitations because of their children. Currently, it is becoming a worldwide trend that women are preferring to avoid being mothers in order not to hinder their career achievements. It is reverses the situation of a past centures when women were not allowed to work and were obliged to spend all of their time on giving birth and rising children.
However, the childfree tendency also has negative consiquences. While couples in many countries choosing to prevent being parents, the population declining and aging, what is causing a harmful effect on the society. Moreover, without a sofficient rise in the younger generation, the world’s population may be on the verge of an economic catastrophe. South Korea is a strike example of a country that is experiencing the most significant problems with demography and aging due to terribly high living costs. Sometimes Korean couples can not simply fulfill their own needs, which makes them reject the idea of having a child.
In conclusion, the idea of couples not having children has both advantages and disadvantages. As long as people achieve success at work and increase their standard of living, the society will suffer from a lack of child growth.
