Band 6+: In many countries, childhood obesity is a growing problem. What are the reasons for this and what can individuals and governments do to tackle the problem?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Currently, children in multiple countries are facing issues with their overweight problem. Those problems are related to their unhealthy lifestyle, lack of exercise, and dependency on technology. It is crucial that we analyze the causes of this issue and explore effective solutions with the help of people and governments.

There are plenty of factors that escalate obesity in children. Firstly, one of the major causes of obesity is an unhealthy life style.Children are now consuming more fast food and oily street food, which leads them to over weight. For instance,in America, 70% of children prefer to eat foods from fast food chains, such as KGF, McDonald’s, and Burger King, which contain more fat and sugar than doctors daily recommendations; therefore, in the USA, problems of obesity among kids are increasing day by day. Secondly, lack of daily exercise is a factor that leads to weight gain weight.Students not having proper exercise daily make them lazy and do not have a chance to burn fat, which makes them fat. What is more, playing video games at home helps to develop obesity. Rather than playing outside with friends, which helps children utilize the food energy they consume, they tend to stay at home and play video games. As a result, consumed food stayed in the body in terms of fat.

Looking at the reasons,I think there are some ways to deal with these problems. Parents should not allow children to consume fast food on a daily basis. They can limit their pocket money so that they tend to have home-made food rather than go for lunch outside. Moreover, the government should provide strict rules to ensure that schools have extra curriculum subjects in their syllabus. Thus, kids can have some exercise on a regular basis at school, which they cannot deny.To sum up,a few things or habits that aid in escalating obesity can be changed by parents and the government.
