An increasing number of countries are experiencing a rise of the rates of child-obesity. The primary causes for this issue lies under the fact that many modern parents lack the essential skills and knowledge on child-caring. A pivotal way to resolve this problem would initially come from an educational course provided by the government to the adults.
Firstly, the greatest problem modern parents experience is the unsatisfactory amount of skills passed thorugh generations. As each generation disappeares, they often pass on a set of skills mostly consisting of information on how to raise a kid. This knowledge however, has faced an accelerated descend over the last few decades with less and less information passed on to the new generation. Thus, resulting in a brand-new generation with little to no idea on how to look after a child.
Subsequently, the new generation of parents created a new way of parenthood which consisted of mainly letting the child do whatever they want or being much too naive to not upset the children. As a result, the children grew in an environment where it was not frowned upon to consume much of low-nutritional value foods, eventually creating a set of generation where high obesity rates thrive.
Finally, a co-operative solution should be taken with the help of both the parents and the government. The authorities must take immidiate action either by giving seminars or educational courses on how to raise a child without harming their health and parents should try harder to develop essential set of skills on raising a child.
To sum up, recently increasing proportions of childhood obesity is a collective result of both the newgeneration’s unskilled parents and the lack of encouragement of the government regarding building parental skills. These can be prevented by a joint action taken by both the individuals and the authorities.
