Some countries usually celebrate special days, such as public holidays. These celebrations require too much money and some part of society thinks that authorities must reduce unnecessary spendings. I partially disagree with this notion because this kind of activities are essential for entertainment of public and the best way of attracting tourists; however, governments can use this money for more essential things such as education of country.
On one hand, public celebrations provide a great way of entertainment for the nations. Citizens who participate in this kind of activeties, have chance to make their day better. By this I mean, sharing emotions with their countries’ people and being part of these events make them happier. For instance, in Novruz – national holiday of Azerbaijan, everyone celebrates this great holiday, meet with their relatives and do traditional activities, which leads to great joy and happines.
On other hand, national celebrations are the best way to improve tourism. In every national event, more and more tourists are seen in the country. Sometimes they are visiting a country specifically for these events. By seeing traditional behaviors and high-cost activities, tourists are fascinated. For instance, Europe welcomes more tourists than usual on Christmas and thousands of people Visits Europe for its unique New Year celebrations.
Nevertheless, it should be considered that the money of government can be spent for develomt of country, such as education. This money can be used for opening new schools and other educational institutions. Improvements in educational areas can make the society better and more young people can be provided with education.
In conclusion, although some spendings of governments can be seen as unnecessary, in general term, these costs are essential for ensuring happiness of society and attracting tourists to the country. Governments should regulate these spendings on logical basis.
