Nowadays,in many countries around the world an increasing number of youths most especially the undergraduate students are finishing school but can not find a job.When these young people in our society are unemployed it could lead to depression, robbery cybercrime and dependant on their parants.Governments should try and create jobs and also employ this youths as soon as they graduate from school.
There are three main causes of youth unemployment for the individual and the society.The first one is depression, robbery and dependant on parents for means of survival.Inaddition,a young graduate who just left school hurting for job for more than five years could get depressed and may even have the taught of commiting suicide.Because while in school a lot much has been spent by parants by paying school fees, buying books and their is much expectation that after finishing school the child will get a job and also take care of them most especially at old age.And onces all these is not achieved this youngster goes into depression.Robbery is another issue that unemployment could cause for.There has been a lot of report about young graduate getting involved in robbery because they are unable to get a job after graduating from school and this can pose problems for the individual and the society as a whole.Lack of job also makes the youths to kero depending on their parants and family members for survival.There by making them to be burden.
There are a number of things governments and individuals could do in other to combat this problems of unemployment in our society today.Governments can create more jobs. Furthermore, those that are due for retirement and still in service can be retired by government so their will be space for youths to apply for a jobs.Job adverts should be published and aired so young graduates would be aware and apply for jobs and after the interview Government should be transparent in giving the jobs and not what they normally do in Nigeria based on recommendations by one politician as a critiria before you are given a job.Parants can also encouraged their children while in school to learn and acquire skill that they are good in,So after graduating their parants could help them to establish vor government can also help to give grants for this graduates to establish after graduating.
In conclusion,youths unemployment causes, depression,robbery and dependant on parants.Governments should create jobs,make sure that it’s available for both the poor and the rich children in our society,while parants should also try to encourage their children to try and learn skills while in school.With this the issues of youths unemployment will be curbed out.
