In recent years, young single people in different countries choose to be independent rather than staying at home with their parents even when they are still in school or employed before they eventually get married. However, I strongly believe the advantage outweigh the disadvantage. This essay will examine both views of this trend.
On the one hand, one significant advantage of staying away from home is that you get to enjoy your privacy and free to make personal decisions without anyone hesitating or judging. Furthermore, most single youths prefer to stay independent to avoid being controlled by their parents. For instance, when you stay without your parents you have the freedom to leave the home. Whereas, living with your parents means obeying some certain rules and limited freedom. As a result, freedom is restricted at home but not entirely restricted unlike staying alone.
On the other hand, there are also disadvantages of living far from home. One major disadvantage is that, some single young individuals find it hard to cope, especially if they are still studying or unemployed making it difficult since they have no source of steady income. Consequently, in extreme cases they turn to crime as an alternate to solve the financial hardship. For example, an independent student who stays far from home combines study and how to generate income to survive. In contrast, a student staying at home does not need to worry about generating income while studying.
In conclusion, while single young people who choose to stay with their parents has it point, I believe staying away from home till marriage has several benefits and freedom. Overall, the advantages outweigh the disadvantage.
