In various parts of the globe, parents are increasingly preferring to delay childbirth. In my opinion, this allows an individual to spend more time focusing on their personal life and career. However, it also brings some negative aspects such as health risks related to late pregnancy.
Nowadays, people are more focused towards their careers and also they prefer giving more significance to their personal lives. Giving thought to have a child during this duration can reduce some great career opportunities. For instance, every mother and father needs to focus on their health especially the mother for 9 months during pregnancy and after giving birth to 2 or 3 months, which leads to consumption of a significant amount of duration. In addition, at the start of a relationship, an individual should first develop understanding skills with each other before having their own kids. Moreover, after giving birth responsibilities of parents increase towards their children and they need to look after them in a frequent time-span, which can be a reason for delay in pregnancy.
On the other hand, late pregnancy can be a reason for some severe health issues and risks. In several instances, delay in childbirth can reduce the fertility rate in women’s bodies. For example, women can produce fertile eggs until their 30s. However, this can lead to a significant decline in the chances of getting pregnant through a natural process. An individual can consult a doctor to adopt new medical techniques to conceive technologically. Although, this medical procedure can be very expensive to afford. Besides that, in many cases, this method can also fail. It’s not a great idea to try it every time.
In conclusion, delaying fertility until later has its own pros and cons. I believe that, while there is significant importance to late pregnancy, it can lead to an increase in health issues.
