A growing trend of people living alone more frequently has been observed in many countries. This could be due to urbanization, as most of the jobs are in the big cities and they expect employees to work from that location. I believe this is a positive development.
Most of the population in many countries lives in tier 2 cities, towns, and villages. People living alone could be due to urbanization, as a lot of jobs tend to be in the big cities and expect employees to work from the office, which leads to people migrating from smaller cities to bigger ones. Generally, these jobs pay high salaries, which makes people more competitive. As a result, people focus on upskilling, which requires a high concentration and less disruptive environment, and prefer to live alone, which provides these benefits.
Living alone helps people build personality as they must be independent, self-reliant, and capable of handling their day-to-day activities by themselves. They get better exposure to the world as they often interact with new people. In some cases, living alone could be better for their mental health as well, because some habits of family members or the relationship with them is not positive.
However, there are potential drawbacks to living alone. For instance, less social interaction may cause depression. Also, it becomes difficult when they need someone’s help in case of an emergencysickness, for example.
In conclusion, even though there are disadvantages to living alone, I see it as a positive development since the primary motive behind it is growth and to be successful in life.
